A note from Aldo
An acrylic form symbolizing water, with fish swimming within it, emerges unexpectedly from a paint can, transforming an ordinary object into an imaginative expression of movement, life, and freedom. The work also pays tribute to Andy Warhol and the legacy of Pop Art, recalling Warhol’s transformation of the everyday can into an icon of contemporary art. Marín takes this familiar object into a new dimension.

Aldo Castillo founded his gallery in Chicago in 1993. For more than three decades, he has championed exceptional Modern, Contemporary, and Latin American artists. Today, he personally welcomes collectors at the gallery on Fifth Avenue South in Naples, Florida.
He knows the artists, their studios, and the stories behind their work.
